Commissioned for an exhibition at Apex Art in New York and turned around for use as the exhibition publicity image, this is an unaltered high-resolution Photoshop digital scan of a wristwatch. Placing the watch directly on the scanner and adjusting the resolution at which the scan produced the image. During a high-resolution scan, the scanning head moves slowly down the flatbed while the watch (and time itself) continues to move, of course, forward. The second hand doesn’t wait for the scanner, resulting in this bent image.
